HARMONICS (HAyabusa Remote MONItoring and Commanding System)
#Overview
HARMONICS is a visualization tool based on SPICE[1] for FOVs of scientific instruments and geometry between spacecraft (S/C) and target asteroid in Hayabusa/Hayabusa2 missions.
This has been developed by students in Univ. of Aizu.
Ueno+(2017)[2] has replaced GUI libraries from GTK to Qt.
Aoki+(2018)[3] is the latest version as open source materials including results of PBL courses supported by FY2017-19 Coordination Funds for Promoting AeroSpace Utilizaiton, MEXT, Japan[4].
Aizu Laboratory, Inc.[5] supports development and maintenance of the software.
This version 2.0 is corresponding to a part of HARMONICS 1.0 for the original Hayabusa in 2005.
HARMONICS is going to be refined for Hayabusa2 Rendezvous with the asteroid Ryugu[6] in this summer.
HARMONICS 1.0 developed by Ms. E. Nemoto[7] contributed to top science of the original Hayabusa by
deciding shutter chances with Camera Science Team[8]. HARMONICS was also used for visual inspection of shape model[9] developed by Univ. of Aizu by means of comparison between observed images and simulated ones.
